Erik ten Hag confirms Rasmus Hojlund return for Man Utd vs Liverpool
Erik ten Hag is optimistic about Rasmus Hojlund’s return from injury and anticipates the Danish striker to be back in action for Manchester United’s highly anticipated FA Cup clash against rivals Liverpool next Sunday.
Hojlund has been sidelined for United’s last three matches due to a muscle strain, missing crucial encounters against Manchester City, Fulham, and Nottingham Forest.
Despite his absence, Hojlund’s stellar form before the injury saw him tally seven goals and two assists in his last six Premier League appearances, making him a pivotal player for the Red Devils.
Recently, Hojlund interacted with United fans outside Carrington on Thursday, responding with a cautious “we’ll see” when asked about his potential availability for the upcoming Everton match this weekend.
However, Ten Hag hinted that Hojlund might not be ready to feature against Everton, indicating that the striker is being carefully managed to ensure his full recovery for the FA Cup quarter-final against Liverpool on March 17.
In addition to Hojlund’s situation, Ten Hag provided updates on the fitness status of Marcus Rashford, Jonny Evans, Mason Mount, Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Omari Forson during a press conference on Friday. He confirmed the positive news that Rashford and Evans have recovered after the derby and are available for the Everton fixture.
